Special Alumina Bricks are made by high grade of sillimanite,andalusite,mullite, corundum as raw material, It can resist corrosion of molten and corrosion of industrial slag. with high refractoriness, low creep and mechanical behavior under high temperature, high refractoriness under the load,good thermal shock resistance and slag resistance.

In order to reduce the porosity of special alumina bricks, the corresponding measures should be taken from the selection of raw materials, ingredients, mixing to forming and firing. Low porosity raw materials or products are beneficial to improve product quality, improve product mechanical strength, reduce surface area in contact with slag, and extend service life.

The water absorption rate of the selected first-grade high-alumina clinker is less than 5%, and the second-grade high-alumina clinker is less than 7%. Then, the soft clay and bauxite clinker with a water content of less than 4% are mixed and finely ground. Using this mixed fine grinding powder ingredients can reduce the porosity of the brick.

The particle gradation during batching, the ratio of coarse to fine is 4:2:4, and the large particles should not exceed 5mm. The order of addition during mixing is as follows: firstly add coarse particles, then add sulfite pulp waste liquid, premix for 3 minutes, and then add high aluminum fine powder for mixing. It is strictly forbidden to add coarse and fine particles to the mill and add sulfurous acid pulp waste liquid at the same time.

In order to reduce the porosity of special alumina bricks, the single-sided pressure is changed to double-sided pressure to double-sided pressure, and the number of blows varies according to the amount of feed. If it is fired by inverted flame kiln, the position of the fire-absorbing hole should be adjusted so that the middle is dense and the edges are thin, and it is properly encrypted near the kiln door, so that the temperature difference between the upper and lower kilns, and the temperature difference between inside and outside are not more than 20 degrees.
